STEAL CONTROL BARS OVER THE BURNER You still don't understand. Yours was just another Alot of the Consolidated Industry furnaces where installed in an attic and all can be identified for the 4th time.

Consolidated made furnaces for a great number of other manufacturers just as the recall list shows. There is a plant in Sarnia that is a furnace mfg.

The guides above give heater serial number decoding for each manufacturer and type of heating appliance. The age of a heating boiler, furnace, or heat pump can be determined by identifying its year of manufacture that is encoded in the unit's serial number (not the model number). Using the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh digits of the serial number 0207GSD 00023 you will find the year and month of manufacture.

Serial Number format: GSD020700023 (All Nordyne Brands have serial numbers that are 12 digits long and start with a letter). The US and and Canada enjoy a healthy exchange of HVAC equipment. This Clare brothers Furnace was made here in Canada, it was not made in the USA and shipped across the border That is not correct. LOL you got an answer for everything, there really isn't any way too get through to you. I don't mind excepting a pro's advice, but you don't give me any proof, that we are talking about the same furnaces that caught fire there is nothing in writing saying this furnace has been recalled and nothing telling me it was made in the USA by Consolidated. Nothing on Clare brothers.this Furnace was made in Canada not the USA.

You say its made by Consolidated Industry and i see no proof that it is.if you type in Furnace Recalls Canada. I am just not convinced this furnace is what you think it is. Quote: Make your self happy and keep ignoring pro advice. I think Carrier bought Clare Brothers eventually.

The serial number on that one is C0041055 but that doesn't correspond to the date at all because it's about 20 years old. My friend has a Clare MegaSave gas furnace down in Burlington. I love my Clare Hecla furnace, an oldy but a goody. This furnace is as old as the house (1977). I was going to replace it but a HVAV man told me not to do that.
